Author Chuck Palahniuk first came up with the idea for the novel after being beaten up on a camping trip when he complained to some nearby campers about the noise of their radio. When he returned to work, he was fascinated to find that nobody would mention or acknowledge his injuries, instead saying such commonplace things as “How was your weekend?” Palahniuk concluded that the reason people reacted this way was because if they asked him what had happened, a degree of personal interaction would be necessary, and his workmates simply didn’t care enough to connect with him on a personal level. It was his fascination with this societal ‘blocking’ which became the foundation for the novel.

To the few asks I got calling me an attention seeker, I didn’t ask for this. It was out of the goodness of the clone club.
It seems like the only attention seeker around here is you.

bbe don’t listen to those ppl to tell you that you’re an attention seeker they are just SEEKING for ATTENTION themselves :)

it should be a high school requirement to work in food and retail for at least 6 months a piece so everyone can understand not to be assholes to employees who are just doing their jobs

and so we actually have some work experience to put on resumes

that’s actually a really good idea

I think unskippable ads on Youtube are the biggest fucking marketing fail, now I am more likely to purposely avoid buying your product out of pure bitter spite that you bitches made me wait.

A bitter blogger never forgives or forgets

I just think that we’re at a point where television is extremely exciting. I just feel really lucky to be at this point in television history making a show like this, and in the company of shows like that. The Emmys is lovely and wonderful, but to me it’s more about hearing the response from the fans… Being in this room — that’s why we do it[x]
